All this Snow White stuff lately...Id actually had an idea a while back to have the Queen buying a Poison Apple at a Goblin Market. Pen and Ink.Related content

I was very taken by this piece when I saw it. You've done a great job here with the pencilling and inking - the way you've used really the only "spot black" in the image for the queen's cape really sets her off as the central figure and delineates her from the goblins.
The most successful figure in the image is the queen - she has a dynamic pose and you've done a great job capturing a wicked-yet-quizzical expression on her face. The rendering of the tree in the background is very nice as well.
The one beef I have with the whole image are the goblins. The four on the right of the queen, for example, seem fairly "flat" as compared to the rest of the image, and aren't fully rendered.
Overall, however, a great job, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Love this Wayne, so much detail and so much to entertain the eye, like the skulls on poles in the background. Lots of layers. My only negative critiques would be that it doesn't look like the queen is looking at the apple and it would've been nice to have more of a balance between the solid black and white. Other than that, great picture!

Cheers Marian. Not sure i agree about the sight line critique even on another viewing just now... but i do agree with the Balance one. Id initially planned the Tents etc to be more a solid silhouette but kinda got into detailing them more when i began adding in the signs etc...Its something i might revisit at some point, possibly.
