pencil, putty eraser, .05 micron, tortillionTotal Time: No idea, started a couple weeks ago, finished yesterday. Most drawing time on weekends.

Eeee.. I remember when you showed this drawing in class! It was wonderful seeing this apart from all the photorealistic images, but I remember this one stuck out in mind the most because I recall you mention how you had something to guide you with the photorealistic ones. This drawing seems like it would be much more difficult because of the content and everything xD
But yeah.. you pulled it off, excellently! A master at pencilwork, in my opinion xD You did extremely well with the shading and the highlights.. and don't get me started on the grassland "O_O" The detail for that is just completely amazing! I can see why it took you so long to draw this piece and I think it was well worked-out! Excellent work. One of my favorites from you xD Definite remembrance or something. *Favs*

hehe thanks, the grass and foliage are actually doen in 3 simple layers, a top exposed layer, a medium layer, and a layer underneath where minimal light hits. the layers are made up of random plants and vines that i want to make up, lol. when its broken down, its much easier. it just takes a while to put it all together.
btw, Theres a little girl behind the guy too, incase no one noticed, sometimes even i forget thats shes there.

I remember noticing her, yeah => I just forgot to mention her in my comment since I was kinda in a hurry at the time xD Her appearance really shows how the title is fitting.. since it looks like the guy is guarding her.
