yeah i use to make some shapes with lasso so many times , it helps a lot

The detail aspect ratio in this one might be improved by taking detail out of the lower half of the painting, especially the water; it might draw more focus to the city in the background instead of the wave highlight. This is however one of your better paintings.

Very nice Dusty. Ship design looks good, as does the city, very believable look to it, that central building/architectural design is very wild! The water looks ok but is far less polished than the rest IMO, and for being so close to the viewer it sorta confuses the painting for me, but that said, it otherwise looks nice, just less refined than the rest.... The movement is really good though. Well done as usual! Looking forward to more!

Hey man thanks as always for the critique and comment. I agree about the water issue with this painting. Your eyes get tired after a while and you think...."well I'll call this done and upload it"....then the next morning you look at it and say...."hmmm that was not quite done".... hahah.

No worries, I think we all take short cuts now and then. Eventually I bet youll stop though, you know you can save a piece and continue again later lol. I bet youll end up like rhahl, where you started doing it that way then eventually youll do super detail all the way through. Its fine both ways I just think that its kinda like you change your style and that makes it a bit awkward mid painting...but no matter. Theres always the next one and now that you know ill keep bugging you about it (like little people) haha your gonna be mindful of it....right?

Yeah been busy with the tornado work. Joplin got hammered and i have to work a lot of overtime. I am feeling depressed because i haven't been able to do my art.
