Nice raw dynamic feel to it...Did you apply the paint with the palette knife?

Very nice, looking forward to see the original!
Like the paint-strokes in the hair and around it. Gives a feeling of wind and movement. Maybe a bit rain too...

I like the paint application. I kinda wished you had some more difinite light source and some more values. do you have the Itten color scheme book? they tell you how much of the pure hues you should have.

damn oils... you don't seem to have that problem with them, O would love to see more pieces in oils by you.
(I owe you my pastels photos... I'm taking them tonight)

hmm. they have their pros and contras... of course, no turpentine, no smell at all.
but they behave differently on canvas and they are totally crappy on wood. that's why I don't use them.
but for starters, I guess, they're okay.
and they're not more expensive than the traditional ones: you need to count in the lineoil and turpentine waste, that would make these plus chère.

I really like it! I definately saw the whole "Che Guevara meets Andy Warhol" when I first looked at it. I can't give you any tips though... I have never been a painter. Practice makes perfect, perhaps?

Yeah.... but then again, no artist is ever perfect. And art is about the individual and style too. Some stuff I think is the worst piece of crap others will find fantastic. Interpretation maybe? So yeah... practice makes more experianced which makes better, but never perfect.
