Very creative idea, Somehow I can imagine this style for Optimus Prime in a live action TV series more than a movie. It looks easier to manage I think, not many moving parts on the body.

This is the Optimus Prime we deserve. Nice use of mechanics as well as detailing and colors. His heroic pose is iconic. I wouldn't mind seeing this as a statue in the future.

So odd... I like the originality of it, but at the same time I kinda don't. Prime's supposed to be massive, not just in height but also in his bulk, so that his strength - both physical and moral - comes across as part of his character; this feels almost lanky, I guess, kind-of the opposite of what Prime's supposed to be. Don't take that the wrong way, though - like I said, I love the originality of the design.

A lanky character =/= unheroic. There's already a lot of bulky Primes out there, and I felt I wouldn't be bringing anything new to the table if I just did another bulky one. Good to hear your thoughts on it though.

Egh, that's not really what I meant... I don't think lanky characters can't be heroic; if anything, they're often the unexpected hero - look at Hiccup Haddock/"How to Train Your Dragon", for instance. Never was there a scrawnier savior than the weedy, geeky little Viking kid who tamed a rare and dangerous dragon, in complete defiance of all social conformity, and later proves to be just what his people need when everything hits the fan.
I'm not trying to say "I don't think this design can be Optimus Prime", I just think it was an unexpected angle for a new take on the character. It's actually kinda growing on me.
