Out in the wasteland sometimes you need a few walls knocked down, a latrine to be dug or a rolling party wagon. That’s where the latest in wasteland raider tec is priceless. The DeathDozer not only brings the fun times with a roomy interior and extra stowage space but brings the pain as well. Armed with two .50 caliber machine guns, two mounted m60 machine guns, 40mm auto grenade launcher, anti-tank missile system and massive dozer blade. Wasteland armor, smoke grenade lunches and anti-targeting jammer round out the defenses. Loaded with extra radio equipment, ammo, "party favors" and booze the deathdozer brings even the most hardened do-gooders to their knees.Here is my finished”deathdozer" kitbashed from a Meng 1/35 d9r armored bulldozer. Detailed/converted with scratch built, photo etched, kitbahsed and bits bin details. Featuring resin, scratch built, bits bin stowage and three custom converted resin figurines. This dozer also features a fully detailed interior. Painted with enamels and weathered with pigments and art acrylics.
I put ton a ton of work into this beast and think the total time to complete was around one month.my only big goal for this one was to have fun and other than a few things I really had a blast. My original plans for this were pretty simple but by the end I have made this my most complex and detailed model to date (way to start off 2015!) while some things really could have been a bit better, I didn’t sweat a lot of the smaller mistakes. Overall I am super happy with it and happy to get it done. I’ll be taking the weekend off to catch up on the games I got from the steam sale, but on Monday I’ll be starting something else.

thanks dude, this one was too freaking fun. got to really go wild with the bashing on a great model kit. was super happy that it came out as nice as it did, as to date its my most complex and detailed model.

i used a "base model" and kitbashed/scratch build details, plus added resin and other goodies. then i painted and weathered it.

just wanted to say this reminds me of a phycho truck from like Tales of Borderlands , even every Ork Mek would be proud of having that in his garage so many details I don´t even know where to start with looking at.

ohhhh yea i can see that(love borderlands) and hell ya, any respectable orks would love this ride.
i really tried to cram in as much detail as possible and everything i knew how to do(and more) on this one. was pretty intense as it was a very complex and $$$$ model, that i bought more resin aftermarket for, and decided to kitbash. i was a bit scared when i started deviating from the directions wildly and cutting things up XD

I took one look, LOVE it. Fantastic model, I say go for it! Add all the rusty metal plates, spikes, mohawk sporting raiders, gun nests, etc, etc, etc, and you got yourself a mobile hell of a building wrecker! Thing with me is, I have been putting a ton of love and time into raiders, clans, tribes, and mutant clans and tribes, all with cool vibes, and stiles too them. I have some people that look like African/Aborigine natives with white hair and black skin that use old street signs and metal as armor and make idols and gods out of old, twisted metal, mixing the old tribal look, with new junk parts, and adding background and story is... jsut so much fun for me.
I am also creating these crazed, stilt striding machine fetishists that worship man/machine saints, and paint a ton of pictures of human/cyborg hrbrids that they worship, and all the painting have like a old, Russian Orthodox look to them, all sorts of crazy crap.

yea its a really really nice one and for me ripe for the conversion. might be awhile till i get it as its freaking $$$ and i already have alot of super nice kits on hand. but lately i have been really loving and thinking up raider ideas too. got a 1/35 motorcycle with side car and hemtt gun truck kit looming over me....
yea i keep thinking up alot of ideas for them as well, there is so much to work with and get really creative about. like there lore and motivations. right now i only have one raider gang group, that i have loosely nicknamed the "X gang" piratically only to explain the X that appear on all their armor. lol figured once i got them all fiured out and have a display full of them, ill think up a different nasty group.
yea that does sound freaking crazy! but i LOVE it. might have to think about something i could do in 1/35 like that......

I love all of the detail work you put in this model. The heads on the front and the teeth makes the entire vehicle seem to come alive. This model crosses that magic line between miniature and reality and makes me think that these characters are really riding the DeathDozer off through some futurescape. So much fun.

Been a bit busy with my newest build, so I didn't drop by sooner........
Been watching you put this thing together at every stage and I just knew you'd crack it.
That paint job is smart mate and I know how much of a pain in the butt making those tracks is/was....
You even took time to hang the chain from the front scoop...... the mesh and gratings are superb.
You didn't even stop there..... the interior is fully decorated too!
