My finished 1/35 Sd.Kfz 222 German armored car.This was a pretty fun build, and i am happy with the results. lol mind the little rain drops, i decide to not fear the rain and try to do a shoot outside while the weather isn't so nice. this has no pastels on it yet do to the rain, and waiting for the diorama base to be finished. for a brief history lesson on this crazy German car, check out WormWoodTheStar's write up on this thing [link]The kit: this is a 1/35 tamiya Sd.Kfz 222. overall it was pretty good, and i built it outta box. its an older kit from what i understand but was under $20us and was pretty detailed for what it is. the kit also came with a aluminum gun barrel and photo etched parts for the mesh roof. i overall painted it in model masters Anthracitgrau flat enamel. i also added a brown acyclic wash/filer. The figurine is stock with the kit, with a arm swap and epoxy cigarette.
The diorama: I am not 100% certain of what i am doing but i do have a scene in mind. its was suggested that i make this armored car guarding a hanger that houses a backward engineered Nazi ufo. this present a whole bunch of elements and challenges, but it sounds too cool not to do. ill take a few days off to play some games and then ill start work on the diorama.

This is a neat little car, it would be cool to have something like this as a personal vehicle.

i think it might be personal preference, but i feel they do. i hand paint everything and i prefer enamels for all the lager areas.

for my, the photo is very good, because the lighting that gives a cloudy sky is more even, when the sun goes down in one direction and make very sharp shadows!
photos of my sculptures take them in the backyard, either early or late afternoon when shade.
but if it's a cloudy day at noon may be fine!
I saw the picture of the actual model, and the truth that your little model is very good!

that same kit goes for 30 bucks now stupid economy( stop taking politics... ok ok ill shut up you happy little inside voice that talks to me..) ohh yeah where was i at any way im going to get one that looks badass and i need to build one or the one german armored car that has a tank turrent any way enc did you need me to draw you a render of a nazi ufo that you could mabye build with plates and an old airplane kit?

anyways if you wanted to draw something, that would be very cool. i have the scene kinda in my mind but it would be cool to do collaboration with you. so far i have googled "Nazi ufo" and "iron sky" not exactly sure about how i will construct the ufo, but i was thing of the two plates, but this time taking my time and really add detail. make it have a bridge and have a few hoses coming outta the craft.

thanks dude, taking a couple of days off( to play games lol) then ill start work on the ufo and some more figurines for it. after that its the big task of making a hanger or runway.with all the fixings too.

Nice kit and nice deal. Usually when aluminum parts and photo etch get tossed in the box the price gets jacked up a bit. All that for 20 bucks is a steal!

yea the ufo hanger diorama. i go on vacation in about a week 1/2 so i kinda don't wanna start it yet, its gonna be a ton of work..... but i got a 1/35 early tiger that i might do, i think i could make it in about a week. i don't want have half made diorama before i leave, i might loose ambition by the time i come back.
