Saw the movie "How to train your dragon" and simply fell in love with it
So I had to make a decent plush! Since all the ones you can buy at stores are really just plain sucky.
Took me about 2 weeks to complete.
Wingspan is about 5 feet and he's about 3 feet long.
Made of fleece, with wires in the wings and fins. There's cardboard in the mouth so it stays flat. The eyes are made of casting resin
That was my first time making resin eyes, so I must say I'm real proud of them!Overall, I'm in love with this plush
might put claws on him later on, but for now he's ok without them.Toothless belongs to Dreamworks.

Ok so here is a question I bet you haven't had yet, was this a rather inexpensive project? I imagine stuffing and fabric would be the most expensive part, but I don't know the first thing about sewing stuff |D I have really thought about making my own plush of some of my characters, so I would like to know what I am looking at in case I do eventually make one c:

it wasn't super expensive actually. I spent around $25 on the fabric (black polar fleece and I bought about 4 meters of it). The stuffing's really cheap, I think it's like $5-10 for a small bag. And the only other thing I used was casting resin, which cost me about $25 as well.
The other parts included thread (cheap) and wires (also fairly cheap)
I spent probably no more than $75 on all the materials.

This is REALLY impressive! The eyes are my favorite part. If you don't mind me asking, with the casting resin, did you paint the iris and details on afterward? I've never though about casting my own eyes before.

Yes, everything was painted on after the resin had hardened. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to make them at all lol

Do they have pegs in them? Or how did you attach them to the face? Sorry for all the questions, I'm fascinated. And what brand resin did you use? I'd like to try it, but I have NO idea where to start!

No worries about the questions lol I cut holes in the fabric and glued them to the fabric from behind, which probably isn't very professional but it worked XD
For the resin I used EasyCast clear casting apoxy

To make it with? I went with polar fleece. It's fairly easy to work with and makes it very soft and cuddly
