Description Alright, so I'm back from my trip, and here's something I haven't shown on DA yet. The first three I did before I left whereas the last one I did just now. Landscapes are totally fun to paint, and I intensely plan to get better at them a lot.

Software: Photoshop CS.

I still think that landscapes are very dificult to paint -_- do you take references?
Maybe I'll take yours as a reference to paint

I didn't use any reference for these, but sometimes I do. Be my guest. :]

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

FabianMonk In reply to awgie [2007-03-19 21:20:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, brush tool. Maybe I used the gradient tool as well, I don't entirely remember, but it was definitely mostly brush work.

I love landscapes. I wish there were more posted. They're not boring at all, I wonder why?

Anyway, the one on the far right has got to be my favorite, but I LOVE the three outdoor scenes, especially the subtle differences in sky/weather between the two on the left. Beautiful.

Wow, these look like concept art for an RPG game or something. They're absolutely beautiful, especially the last two. I also love the loose brush strokes.

Beautiful! Which brushes/filters do you tend to use the most? I've been doing photo-editing in photoshop for years, and colorize line art alot, but haven't taken the time to just sit down and paint with it. You just may have inspired me to get off my keester and do something.

I really like the simplicity of each of them. I mean, there are details. It's just interesting to see them.
Would you mind doing a tutorial on some of the things that you have here? Or is there one that you've made?
I'd really love to try my hand on this type of thing...

dude, these are awesome...

I hate doing backgrounds as i thought they were boring but you totally make them come alive and seem interesting in their own right. Man looking at these makes me want to paint my own...
Did you use any reference? and were they done with a tablet?
keep them coming, you rock matey!
