hmm, more like portraying two paths he could've taken. One where he is able to move forward from his past, and the other where he can't bring himself to, like a 'bad end', and tries to kill himself. In the bad end, he does end up pushing away everyone who tries to reach to him.

I was trying to show two routes, one where he moves forward (and ends up receiving powers/ hence the red eyes) and in the kind of bad end he ends up killing himself by cutting his neck.
