I tried to thank everyone individually but dA was telling me all my messages were being considered spam so I had to delete all the fav notices... As you will.....it is absolutely nothing like your masterpiece, not even trying to be, but Sumerian Fire is what I eventually posted for the particular Challenge entry.
I will still try another day to create something along your lines here as it sits in my mind as an interesting challenge to push the Apophysis boundaries.

Well you know what it's like, things get lost in the mix as we plunge on in this morass of IT - but I've got it in my mind as a Project, made a note in my DailyDo, (which I DO consult!) so we'll see what we see.

Just a Notebook .txt that sits on my Desktop & I dump anything I encounter on it as I go. Be lost without it. I suppose all those years of Public Service work diaries at least taught me that useful tool. Yes, definitely give it a go, makes life so simple. Just remember to put date at start of every day's entry. Start a new one every year & store the old ones in a folder. Sounds obsessive I know but if you organise the small things the bigger ones move more smoothly & when it comes to recall, better to have a record as memory can be a very false friend sometimes.....

It's only a dump - like a link address you want to think about, but not now, a copy of a Note or Comment, a receipt number you need to think about tomorrow & such things as a quick list of emoticons for quick copy/paste or params you need to try out or transfer elsewhere. I rarely actually write more than the date at start, rest is copy/paste dump. But scrolling back over, say a few weeks later, you can see the kind of activity you indulged in on any particular day. I just scanned over 2011 & decided there are quite a few behaviors, like places I've visited, I've decided to cut out this year so I can focus energy on less time-wasting stuff. All self-management & when dial-up is the only option, time is precious.

adding the dA watermark won't stop a dA thief from reposting it as their own work...
I probably should just create a border with my name or something, but it would be so much work going back through all my stuff and adding it to everything (I have 816 deviations now, although a few are literature...)
