This is really gorgeous!! If you like original versions I recommend you LabyrinthΒ΄s book and The Phantom fo the Opera by Gaston Leroux, despite the fact the true Erik is less hot than Gerald Butler, is really great ^^

ejjeje the very fisrt of POTO of Webber was like "kill me please". The they thought more and did it so well.
Do you know Ken Hill, Yeston and KopitΒ΄s musicals and the one of David Staller?

jeej. Well... the one of Yeston and Kopit is, in my opinion, really good, specially Richar WhiteΒ΄s voice (in ErikΒ΄s role); is the musical of the miniserie of Charles Dance of 1990.
The one of David Staller is good if you are a lover of Phantom, but it has its appeal, and there are two songs (one of them you can find it in youtube, Perfect Music Perfect Love) which are so beautiful.
For Ken Hill, the first musical (of 1976), you can only find the songs at internet. Is curious for a Phan.

I recognize all three couples, and I have never seen Bram Stoker's Dracula either. Β The only thing missing here? Β Anna Valerious and her version of Dracula.

I'd have to say Mina and Dracula are my favorite.Β First off, they're both consenting adults (Sarah is only sixteen and the Phantom started on Christine at about that young). Second, I always saw Mina as the reincarnation of Dracula's wife - and his match (she set him free in the end).Β Both Sara and Christine - not sure how long things would last with two teenaged girls and two men much older (those May/Decembers don't always go over well after the chase ends).Β And considering how you've dressed them - the two youngsters in pink, Mina in scarlet - reminds me of that.Β Mina and Dracula are mutual; Jarreth and Erik pretty much have to trick their girls.Β So, while the entire composition here is a lovely romantic scenario, the realist that I am goes with Mina and Dracula.

I totally agree with you! For me it's more the idea of Christine and Phantom and Sarah and Jareth that has me. I'm not sure how those relationships would've worked out in the long run either.Β
First of all Sarah would have to do a bit more growing up, as in almost all FanFiction about the two.Β
And as for Christine and the Phantom, it's his hopeless love for her that makes the whole movie. Probably all people who watch the phantom of the opera wish Raoul a speedy exit from the movie so that Christine and Phantom would get each other, but that would probably not have been even a half decent movie (mostly because Christine - though arguably a little attracted to him - genuinely loves Raoul :/). But It's because it ends like it does, with unrequited love and all, that it is so powerful (for me). Same deal with Moulin Rouge actually, unhappy endings can sometimes be better :*(
But in the cases of Labyrinth and Phantom... I think it's my love for those two male characters. Sarah and Christine are there as embodiments of what these two guys think they want and love. And I could just as easily have drawn myself in their places...(but that wouldn't have been too awesome for anyone but myself).Β
And Dracula and Mina is, I agree, the best couple. But they have a *slight* age difference too Β
So to sum up, all three movies are great as they are, and probably shouldn't have ended in any other way or been edited in the slightest. My imagination and thoughts about these movies stretch well beyond the end credits. Whatever happened minutes or years after those final scenes... Well that's for each of us to decide
