Description Actually one of the first illustrations I drew for my novel "On wings of birds". Thats probably why Anastasia's face is so off. Anastasia is Theo's girlfriend, and she is so popular and beautiful and cruel and I probably hate her that much that I drew her so ugly, lol. No, but really, she is the symbolic magpie, because she just feeds on Theo's popularity and money, and when he stops to be all happy and cool, she just leaves him as trash on the street and runs off with Theo's best friend and with a pendant Theo bought her as an evidence of his love.

Gorgeous series, I love the mood and the colours! The intense red combined with her cold expression makes me think of witchcraft when I look at her. I like the symbolism of birds you chose for the characters in your novel!

Thank you so much for amazing commentary! I think the theme of witchcraft isn't that out of place, some ritual to steal someone elses happiness came to my mind, although no form of magic is mentioned directly in the book there is definitely some symbolism and mystery involved.

I love this kind of symbolism that brings magic to mind without involving anything supernatural! I wonder how you rendered this idea in your story...

Thank you! Well yes, I can't probably explain it but the symbols do sometimes work this way, and also in dreams Theo dreams I sometimes put like some really magical things or so, and they are not real but it's a way to put the magic here and it somehow have connection to the symbols, so you can replace that symbol in the story with the magic, if you want. Eh, I just cant explain it, I am sorry

I totally know what you mean! I also do that in my own novel, so that often, both in the writings and in the illustrations, supernatural elements seem to appear. But in fact my novel is completely historical, and the "supernatural" parts are only meant to give the reader a hint of the superstitious thinking of medieval people.

Have you got anything written in English from "On wings of birds" in your gallery (i checked and didn't find any)? Your illustrations certainly made me very curious!
