What I do to make the features actually saves me time, I think. I allow the deviations from my watchers to reach about 500. Then I go through them and pick out the very best. With some artists the challenge is to pick just one or two! I list the "thumbnail" ;number number number; on a Wordpad document as I go through, and fave them. Then I just put them into my journal code, which usually contains more than just what this particular journal has. I decided I wanted to simplify the journal and chatter less. The pictures are worth a thousand words, so the thumbnails are worth at least a hundred each! This does mean that I don't get to look at any images that don't look great in thumbnail, and I'm sad for that, but I never had time for looking at every one anyway. Since I"m putting the images in a journal, to be seen first in thumbnail, maybe it's not so bad that images that must be viewed full to appreciate don't get included. Anyway it takes me a couple of hours, tops, to do this--mostly because DA is slow, and it takes at least a week to accumulate 500 or so in my deviations. I watch a lot of people. Does that help? It really doesn't take any longer than just looking at the art in the first place, this way, and the people who look at their work in my journal usually go and look at other work, and fave those, so it's good for everybody. Except maybe me. I think I get fewer faves because my journal makes my own work look bad by comparison! LOL. --Silky

Ohh well it might be an easy way of handling this .. you still have to notice people about the feature too ... Maybe when the weeks ends, I will try it .. thank you for the suggestion.

OH! With the notice, I write a generic sentence with a link to my DA page. And then I just click on each thumbnail in the finished journal, paste, hit SEND, and hit Back, click on the next, paste, et cetera. That actually doesn't take that much time. I think everybody understands about the cut-and-paste sentence. Time is just too short.

Here's a cool trick I discovered, add the line:
preview
to the bottom of the script, it will open up the preview box, then you can watch the flame update faster while pressing F9
