Description One of my most recent works of Singapore. Taken high up at a residential district.

I remember leaning out so far that almost half of my body was dangling dangerously out of the window. My hands were shaking with excitement and I was holding my camera so hard for fear that it might slip off.

The risks we take to get nice images…

I just find this photo completely amazing. I've only seen one rainbow, and so I have to get all my ideas of what they look like from photographs, and this one blew me away. Not only is it incredible that you got such a beautiful (double) rainbow, but the setting is astonishing.

When I looked at this picture, I saw the top first, and it made me think of "muggy" and "humid" like it is after it rains on a hot day. It was actually so vivid in my mind that I actually felt like it had just rained here (no such chance). But then, as I looked farther down the picture, the lines get sharper on the buildings as well as the clouds on the horizon, as if it was getting cooler, and It painted an even brighter image and made me feel that I was in Singapore.

Congratulations on an amazing catch, and don't fall out of any windows. (and never lose your camera!!!) Bravo on your dangerous technique!

That is a very beautiful image! I must admit, I'm a fan of double rainbows myself, and I will go out of my way to get those perfect photographs of the occasional double rainbows I see. All I can suggest is be very careful when taking photos, I had this mental image of someone leaning percariously out a balcony window to get this shot!

The only thing I really dislike about the image (and I know it is way out of your control) is how the right side of the photograph has the orange tint... apparently the angle where the sun is setting from. But at the same time, it does add beautiful contrast to the gloomy rainclouds in the distance, and the orange hue goes well with the orange floors on those highrises! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> Another thing I love is how the double rainbows seem to encompass the entire city area. What city is that anyway?

Keep up the good work, and be sure to be safe when getting those perfect photos!

Hi!
Thank you so much for the critique
You're tight, the orange tint actually comes from the setting sun
Originally I wanted to include more of the scene, leaving more room on the left and right sides, but I would probably lose my footing so I decided against it

Sonamy365 mentioned that the lower half of the image is a little darker - and I think that's what gives it intrigue. It draws you in even further toward the focus of the picture. Knowing that the artist was leaning out of their window to take the shot makes this effect even stronger.

Rainbow photography is tricky to get right. Most photographers would be tempted to get an over saturated shot and deliver a portrait of a sugar rush. Instead, the artist here captured a much more subtle moment: a fleeting glimpse of a double rainbow in a dim, warm city.

This photo is very aspiring. The brightness of the smaller rainbow compared to the much larger one makes it seem almost like a reflection upward. The angles of the buildings from the perspective is wonderful. The buildings on both sides point towards the center of the image which also happens to be the center of the arch in both rainbows going across. This scene was captured very well with the image framing the ends of the largest rainbow on both sides. The darkness of the background (clouds) contrasts very well with the rainbows along with the brighter colors of the buildings. Very well done indeed.

The top rainbow is kind of faded and even thought that's not your fault, it takes away from the overall effect. Under the first rainbow the sky looks REALLY cool! Another aspect that's not your fault, the buildings just don't fit somehow. The rainbows and sky give off this misty heaven-like feeling and then, buildings, just buildings. However, the trees add to that heaven feeling, and so does the faded sky. Where did you take this form anyways? It feels like you went to the top of a building but I don't really know. I think anyone would take a picture if they saw a double rainbow so that kind of thrashes on the originality points, BUT, I do like the title "The Whole World". That's about it but I'll keep typing to readch my 100 words. Overall, I think it looks pretty good. word, word, word, word, OK, I'm good!

Hi Kayla!
Thank you very much for taking the time to critique. It's greatly appreciated
You're right in saying that the buildings don't look like they match. Definitely, I prefer a wild landscape or some old/abandoned architecture to go with the rainbow

This was taken in Singapore, from a high rise building

This is my second or third critique, so i might not do very wel, but here goes nothing.
Wow. Just, wow. When I first saw this, I felt very happy inside. This photo is quite something. I really think that no one, not even if someone tries their hardest, can ever take a photo as beautiful as this. I admit, it looks a little dark at the bottom, but that's alright. I love the angle the buildings have, compared to the rainbow stretching over them.

I really do love his peice. I hope that others will enjoy this photo as much as I do.
