I think it's the first time I try to draw an actual person, I mean, a character played by an actor. I'm not good at portraits, my style is too manga-ish. So this is what I obtain.Thanks to my right hand, that worked quite ok even though I've had an annoyng headache for more than a week (and I still have it), I can show you the Male Eleventh Doctor and the Female Eleventh Doctor. It means I tryed to portray mr Matt Smith during the 5th Season of the revived series Doctor Who. Then I tryed to imagine him as a girl.
She's not that different from my previous attempts to portay her (first one [link] -horrible-, and second one -better- as a Fictional Self [link] where you can also find her story): I just changed her trousers colour from blue to brown. I noticed that, when the bow-tie, the suspenders and the "stripes" of the shirt are red, the trousers look brown. And they look better in these colours.
I was too lazy to colour it with Photoshop, so it's just paper pencil, rubber, pigment liner, crayons, patience and love.

Very nice designs! I've recently taken an interest in Doctor Who, so I'm not familiar with the series as much as some people, but I think you captured the male 11th Doctor's style quite nicely. I especially love the outfits. ^_^

I Kinda see this Fem!11 as a member of the First 14 Travels on the TARDIS After the Doctor pulls a Heroic Sacrifice that wipes out all of his enemies by his jumping into the Allspark, Erasing his timeline from age 5 onward! There are Trophies of his now non-existant Regenerations to ensure that there will be a lasting legacy of his Adventures

I don't see much of a problem with it. it's fine! You'll get better the more you do it, and see more ways to improve! when you least expect! That's how it works for me, anyway... I sometimes have to forget about my art and wait years, and then suddenly it hits me.. AWESOME!! annoying!! but AWESOME!! you rock!!!

I think it looks really good! (I mean, everyone should always be trying to improve, but...) The colouring is great, all of the lines are clean and straight, overall it looks polished and complete.
You gave them shadows. That's hardcore.

I'm currently working on another picture involving the presence of the TARDIS. I'm not being lazy this time, so I hope it will turn ou better than this, but if you say this one is ok, the next one will dematerialize from the paper and materialize in my room! Vworp vworp...

Matt Smith's eyes are a real mystery: sometimes are sort-of-light-blue with a shade of green (as I tryed to make them, but it seems I poorly failed), sometimes are green, sometimes are brown. Puzzling.
Ha, gotcha! In Season 5 his shirt is white with a strange pattern that, from the distance, makes it look like a sort of crimson shirt with tiny stripes (proofs: [link] and [link] ). I'm lazy and I made the pattern bigger than it really is... :-P
Be ready for more... DW gender-bending does not end here! XD

I have already seen them. I am not a big fan of Nine though. I could almost say I hated him. I like Christopher, but I just did not think he made a good Doctor.

Well, I must say I liked him. A little less than Eleventh, but as much as, or rather a little more, than Tenth. Let me explain: David Tennant is a good actor and everything, his Doctor was remarkable, his style impeccable... The problem is everyone seem to adore him! And he knew it. But still he decided to leave the show, the same show he seemed to build around himself (I don't know if I managed to make the concept understandable). I find him a little arrogant, and so is his Doctor. Nineth was more... genuine. And I love his relationship with Rose. They were really cute together.
But this is just me.

For a weird coincidence, I watched "Love and monsters" again just yesterday, and... no. Elton says a lot of fantastic things (and it's amazing when dances in his room), but the rest is... no. I will just save Clom because it's funny.

Like both have about pictures coming alive, both have the main hero trapped in pictures (The Doctor and Sarah-Jane) and the secondary main has to save the day?
Oh, yeah, that reminds me, do you watch βThe Sarah-Jane Adventuresβ or βTorchwoodβ? I much preferred Maria to Rani, and I was so sad when everyone of the original Torchwood team (Ianto, Toshiko, I loved her, Owen, everyoneβ¦except Suzie, she was a bitch). I love Maria x Luke, hate Rani x Luke, but love Rani x Clyde, though I save my love pairings mainly for manga and anime. I am so sad there will be no more Sarah-Jane Adventures episodes after the ones that have been made so far. I thought Elizabeth was too young to die and of cancer, having lost an aunt to cancer myself (though it was mainly because the doctors did not give her the treatment she neededβ¦) is that strange?

I watched Torchwood 1, 2 and 3, I'm currently watching Miracle Day (episode 5 is the last one I watched). I agree with you, I miss the original Torchwood team, especially Tosh and Ianto (OMG, Ianto x Jack was amazing! I'm not a yaoi-fungirl, but Jack and Ianto were a fantastic couple). I didn't like Owen, and yeah, Suzie was a bitch.
About The Sarah Jane Adventures, I watched scattered episodes. I focused on the most important ones, like the Trickster-related and the Doctor-related. I read the plot of the others on wikipedia, and one day I will watch them. So, I agree, Fear Her is similar to Mona Lisa's Revenge, and they are both good. And I don't like Rani. Maria was better.
Loosing someone you loved for other people's mistakes always hurt. I had a grandmother who died of cancer, so I understand you. The fact with Elizabeth Sladen is she looked ok and suddenly fell ill (that's what I heard) and died in quite a short time. I hope she didn't suffered, she was so nice...

Yeah, the reason they had Maria move away is because is because her actress wanted to focus on her GCSEs. The BBC does that with a lot of shows I have noticed. The first (or the first and second in the case of one) has a pretty staple cast, then something happens to change that. Case in point: βDaniβs Houseβ, and βMI Highβ.

About Miracle Day, I have been busy (that's why I'm answering now) so I didn't watch further episodes (maybe I will after some web-surfing). But I worked a little on my next GB Doctor Who projects (it means this deviation we are filling with comments will be put in my scraps folder, I fear).
Anyway, I didn't like Owen because he is the stereotypical sex-centric man. He overrates himself and hurts who loves him (Tosh). I don't like this kind of guys. They exist in real life, and I know a lot of them.
