Description TRUE STORY!

This bridge is one of three in a long series of trails that run through this park. When I returned after many years of absence, longing to relive my childhood, I found this. I then ran into the curator. He proceeded to tell me of a large group of cheerleaders from a neighboring county that visited the park and thought it would be fun to rock the bridge. They ended up making all three bridges unsafe to cross by breaking their supports.

Unfortunately due to insufficient funding, this under appreciated park has not been able to fix the bridges and reopen the trails.

So please, remember when you are visiting any public grounds put there for your enjoyment to take care and respect the property so others after you may enjoy it!

Ah, you actually went there? I haven't met anyone online who's been there in real life yet.

That's so awesome! I wish I could go more often, but eh, no transport. It was the most exotic place I ever went to as a child so it really sticks out in memory.

This reminds me of a lot of abandoned places out here in Tennessee. You can be taking a nice stroll through the woods one minute, and the next, you can actually walk up on the ruins of someone's house the next. I've lost count of the times I've seen such wonderful things like that.
