1) fun color comparison I was working on, trying new things! I'm not saying mine (the "new" one) is better than the official colors, but I will say that I'm surprised how washed-out her red jacket is, in the show! I feel like that makes her face draw the eye, more, as it's the brightest color.. maybe the darker red draws more attention to the jacket than her face. mAYBE?? i mean that's fair
Also, I'd been doing some reference-hunting for actual equestrian wear, and thought I'd include some details in the buttons/lapels/boots etc, because that helps the characters feel more real for me to draw!
anyway I can FEEL myself getting better at color the more I do it, but any criticism or thoughts (or encouragement sdlkjsds) are welcome !!

2) I want to do some headcanon designs of what the kids would look like when they're adults!! to be frank I have a lot of ideas for them as young kids, teenagers, young adults, middle-age adults sdklfslj.. i love age headcanons
anyway Alma and Chloe as adults

3) I was trying out a different style for horses, and the test subject was Lily!! or Lilly.. I'm going back and forth between the two spellings honestly.. such a minute detail alkdslk
also shout out to Moony for drawing great gift art of her, so good that I'm actually going to refer to it when drawing my own OC sdkfjsl :'>

4) I love humanizations.. it's so much fun.. picking out the clothes.. the body type.. the hair, the skin tone, it's my fAVE. Lily is big in girth, heart, and hair, but not so much in height.
