G1 Thundercracker has a history of not being loyal to Megatron, especially in IDW. Skywarp is almost always portrayed as the most loyal of the three main seekers.

And is most useful in Decepticon war tactics. He can teleport, that's a good skill to have as a Seeker or ANY Cybertonian; but for really getting the drop on your enemy? Ooooh yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees~
