I love the out of focus background and how you've placed the shadows and placement of images etc of the projector perfectly.
It's really atmospherically sad. She looks so defeated, and the emotion conveyed here is amazing especially considering you can't see her face. I also really like the warmth of the poppy field compared to the cold and desolate background. That really strengthens the emotion this radiates. Like a sad longing for a better place.Β

I can feel a certain sense of longing in this piece, as if the girl wishes she could step into the picture, into the field. Perhaps she feels the need for freedom, the need for beauty outside her cracked and broken walls, or the need to touch something precious that may not be accessible ... or maybe not even exist anymore.

Somehow I feel depressed by the piece; the girl looks as if she wanted to move from her dark and tiny room to that beautiful landscape (which I assume she made).
Kinda resembles some artists life at times: the life they imagine is way better than the real one!Β
Great piece of art, but very depressing to see some fellow artist (the girl in the picture) surrounded by a dark and lifeless room looking at that colorful landscape.

For me it's about someone who want's to be in another place (in life) and is dreaming about it, trying to get there. But when you tries she realises that she can't be there. Maybe it's because she can't reach this place. It's just a projection. It's the past.Β The rose in her hand is maybe hinting that she was already at this place and she wants to go back. But she can't it's over and she is left here alone in this dark room with her teddy bear. Her past was bright and full of colors but her reality is dark and cold and empty...
