Hello, I'm from !

Hmm, seems I have neglected ProjectComment for a while but here I am again This is a really nice scene, looks like an illustration from a children's book. I like the glow of all those things in the background, it makes the whole scene look magical. It kinda reminds me of the Jungle Book. The colors are lovely and vivid as always, I like the colors in your pictures!

Now here are some things you can improve: the thing that I really don't like are the lines. In my opinion they are too thick and even thickness everywhere. What you can do is use a thinner lining pen (I don't suggest lining with pencils unless it's for enhancing thickness on some places of the picture - use a pen instead) and vary the pressure you use when you draw the outlines. You don't necessarily need to outline everything to emphasize the details, you can do it by shading, using color contrast (like complementary colors: red-green, blue-orange, violet-yellow) or the foreground can be darker than the background. So that's what I can say, I don't see major issues with this picture. The anatomy got better since I last wrote a comment on one of your pieces, that's good You can start practicing the shading to improve, the basic shading theory is easy to learn, just think of the forms and shapes of the characters in three dimension and keep in mind where the lighting goes. Keep up the good work!

take it all to heart for future works

I can see what you mean by too much lining prob because I use cheap pens. I'm really happy you think that the anatomy has improved some and that this looks like something from the jungle book! That's a wonderful complement.

Thx again

You are welcome I also use cheap pens for lining mostly but recently I bought a posca because it's easier to line with. It's expensive so I try to use it sparingly (anyways I need it for the school too).

Hello Im from ProjectComment!
This picture is absolutely lovely, I love the concept of it and the colours blend nicely! The smooth form of the characters and the tree branch are very stylistic and nice, its really pleasing to look at. I love how you drew the snake, but the way you drew the lines across its face make it almost look like a wooden toy because the top of its snout/head look sort of flat, I think looking at a few more snake references would help! The background is also very lovely, I love the stars, but the light from the stars doesn't blend well into the colourful sky behind it, perhaps doing a more gentle fade for the light would help. Overall this looks absolutely fantastic! I know you are going to be a memorable and fantastic artist if you keep drawing things so creative and beautiful!

This is really intriguing. The consistency of imaginative and use of technique is well done in this piece. Behind the art, I can tell there is emotion of wonder and dreams. There is a decent amount of textural usage through the trees, person, and the animal as well. The use of shading is brilliant giving various contrasts of the closeness to the distance of each perspective. The proportions of the animal are done well with shading to demonstrate concept that there are movement between the interaction between the person as well. You have done an excellent job showing all movement, contrasts, and distances throughout. The color blending as well is precise with various hues as well. Excellent job!

Wow, it's like good old-fashioned storytelling here I like the curious expression of the snake, you wonder what kind of interaction he is intending to have with the man. And the shining stars in the backdrop is a nice touch

From project comment here!

This is wonderful! of course the thing with you not having a scanner is understandable, The coloring in the stars looks nice, Plus, maybe it's just me but I haven't seen this type of style for stars so it's pretty unique! (Or at least from what I've seen) This is very creative, how you drew the snake and everything!

Now the thing is, As of those fruits, maybe try and make it more obvious about what that fruit is (Or is it a made up fruit??). Perhaps the man in the picture could use some work but unless that's your style then it's completely fine.

But despite everything, It's a very creative and wonderful piece Β

From projectcomment fellow

Β  I feel your pain. I don't have a scanner either which is one of the reasons I have to do this year inktober in digital

I love the art! It really looks like children book illustration (and I'm a huge fan of it!). I spent some time looking for smaller details like that tiny bird nest (is snake protecting it from the man or other way around?). Or things in a man's bag (I didn't manage to figure out what they are exactly xD). Love the colors and I'm sure its muuuuch more bright in reality than on a snapshot.

Β  The only thing that draws my imagination away from the story is that you have a snake, human and apples (or peaches?) on one picture and it veery much reminds me of a bible story so its kinda difficult to see this particual snake as a good guy, because we all know what happened in that story xD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Indra1408 In reply to RequiemSkittles [2017-10-11 23:16:53 +0000 UTC]

So sorry to hear your also having scanner problems

Thank you so very much, I'm glad you liked the piece. XD I did not really think of that but I suppose the snake or man could be protecting the bird.

I could totally get that as well. The fruits aren't really anything real they're cotton candy colored giant cherries is the closest thing I can sum them up to. Perhaps it is a devious snake? Β

Thank you again and have a wonderful day
