Description So its time to play Pillars of Eternity 2. Game is gorgeous and Arie is very bad-ass, talented mage.
But the most important thing: I'm struggling with terrible artblock here! It's better now than it was, but seriously, I wasn't able to draw properly a single thing! So I force myself a little bit to end this portrait thing and start something new. Fear of failure is stressing me out. And if anybody reading this - how do you guys fight with your artblocks? Any methods? Prays? Sacrifices?

Beautiful portrait! The way I deal with art blocks is to not bother anymore. It used to stress me out when I had one because I thought “you MUST draw to get better!!”, which stressed me out even more in the end and increased my art block. Now I just know that there are times when my energy is lower and I cannot force myself to create when my mind can’t. So I just wait and do other stuff until the energy and excitement to draw comes back again naturally. So far it’s always come back, so whenever it happens again I just trust in myself that eventually creativity will return and relax sounds almost too simple, but that’s honestly what works for me.

Thank you!
And you are perfectly right, I'm just trying too hard to get better too soon and it's stressing out. My problem also is I have to be creative every day (my job is more like design/webdesign stuff, but still) and it's easy for creativity level to drop and when there's not so much time to recharge.
But as you say, it always comes back. I think it's getting better. And I love the relax part of your advice! Thank god it's friday.
And thanks for kind words!

Yes of course, if you need to be creative every day it can get straining. On the other hand you work on your creativity even when you are not illustrating, which is also nice.

And you’re very welcome I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work!
