This was a dream cosplay shoot for me. I mean, Phoenix was a character I've been itching to pull off a cosplay shoot on. I've attempted Phoenix several times with a lot of learnings in the process instead of a final shot. But we kept at it, believing that one of these days we would be able to do justice to the character. After more than a year of researching, and imagineering... I hope this new attempt of ours would also ignite your imagination.
The elements you see in the shot were taken through photography. We shot every bit, parcel, and what-have-you, then pieced them all together in post-production.
This is the toughest cosplay shoot we have done to date in terms of effort and time. Took about two weeks and to wait for the right weather to shoot the background.

yeah ...sure is beautiful but the left wing is out of place and not in proportion with the other one.... and i think the model isn't right for this cosplay.... she could play Psylocke coz she looks asian... but the phoenix should be a caucasian and a red head... originally Jean Grey of X-men right? I think you better re-shoot this coz the costume is awesomely perfect....

this is the same girl....
[link] she's basically asian looking...fitted for roles like psylocke but not for phoenix... come on phoenix is a red head girl with beautiful deep seated eyes and perfectly contoured nose....and the facial structure is totally different... anyway the wings is not proportionate with the girls angle... cant you see that the wing are simply spreaded apart facing front while the girls body is facing to the side going to the left direction... that's my point of view... if you want an illustration how its odd... i can show you...

I know she's asian, I saw the real pictures of her. I'm saying she only looks part asian though and her hair IS red.
You said her wings aren't in proportion, meaning their size is wrong. Which they're not, they're the right sizing in relation to each other and in relation to her. I wouldn't use "wrong proportion" to describe them. I'd say wrong angle maybe, but they still don't look that much off.. wings don't always have to be straight back and at the same angle as eachother. If you've seen a bird of prey catching something their wings twist and go off at different angles from their body and that's how I perceive her in relation to her wings.
Anyways, I think her being asian is a bit nit-picky for a fictional character, but maybe that's just me. I know how fans are when characters aren't portrayed to their liking. But I think this is an amazingly done picture especially when there's barely any editing as it is and I think it's silly to tell someone to redo it just because the woman is "the wrong ethnicity".

Hey no problem! chill! First I'm an Asian too and I'm not against any Asian people and I was never a racist. I'm just a perfectionist specially on details and even cosplays... I just want it to be exactly the same or at least close to the original character...and it's just my point of view no matter what u say it's just that I'm not convince with this picture! And that's non of your business right?
