Back in the days of MS Paint, I posted a somewhat clunky picture of a cartoony Joel, Crow, Servo, and Gypsy from "Mystery Science Theater 3000". Now, months later, I've finally reciprocated with a much cleaner image of the bots with their maker's successor, Mike Nelson.I've recently begun swaying more heavily towards the Mike episodes of MST3K, particularly those from Season 6 - Frank was still there, Trace had perfected his Crow voice, the sets looked cooler, the movies got dumber, the riffs were brilliantly written, and the host segments were more accurate and to the point than they used to be. So it only seemed natural that I do a sequel to one of my most popular pieces.

Hey, just curious, but is the lighting of the set on this image supposed to kind of look like season 7's pink back lighting? Correct me if I'm wrong. I also agree, I'm a big fan of the season 6 episodes because they movies were really cheesey/goofy, and I really liked how they lighted the sets.

This is one of my older drawings, and I guess there's a hint of an anime/manga influence there, though at the point I drew this, I think my biggest influence was Looney Tunes. The way I draw the MST3K characters has changed slightly since then. [link]

I love this pic and I love MST3K!! I got a whole bunch of MST3K episodes on DVD!! My dad started with the collection and then introduced it 2 me! When ever I cound not sleep, me and my dad would watch MST3K until I fell asleep. It was MST3K that brought me and my dad closer again. The pic looks awesome!! Nice job!

i didn't really like Mike taking on the mantel at first but i eventually grew to love them and even prefer them slightly over Joel.
unfortunatly we see suspiciously less of Gypsy in the Mike era. i always liked her for some odd reason

Brilliant...I must say, I converted pretty swiftly to preferring Mike's episodes (though to my chagrin I think I'm the only one whose favourites are Hamlet and Spider Island).

MST3 was one of my favorite shows. It's a shame they stopped producing new episodes.
There are soooo many other bad movies out there that deserve, nay, need to be made fun of!

god i miss MST3K it was my favorite show i still watch it on GBSTV and i buy the DVD collectioins but i miss new episodes

GBSTV is an online network of television shows web cartoons moderated by Somethingawfull.com, MST3K comes on Saturday nights around 10 or 10:15 sunday same time and the shorts usually appear through out the day randomly. The MST3K movie comes on from time to time as well as the Playstation commercial riffings the cast waaaaay back when PS 1 first came out
