Description My good buddy *jbwarner86 and I decided on another art trade recently, and for his half J.B wanted me to do my take on his favourite show, Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

I was only familiar with the series through his gallery but whilst doodling some ideas, I decided to watch a few of these online...which became a couple...then half a dozen...then a dozen...and you get the idea

I'm quite impressed how a simple premise such as this - a human actor and a bunch of robot puppets tear out a list of God-awful movies from the past - could become so popular. Reminds me completely of sitting around with family or friends and chatter endlessly about the highs/lows of whichever movie we happen to come across on late night TV. IMO, this could well be the one scientific show that's more popular than Star Wars and Star Trek combined...with no disregard for SW and ST fans, of course

This show saved me as a kid when all of my fave Saturday Morning cartoons went off the air. Such a fantastic show out of such a shoestring budget, and some of my favorite kind of comedy.

As for the pic, a fantastic rendition of the whole cast of the Satellit of Love. You got their likenesses down and you added your distinctive elastic style to good use. Well done, pal!

Thanks most kindly. Admittedly, I've only seen what I can of the show via the internet, but it's undoubtedly a series ahead of its time, shall we say

That's pretty much a summing up of Crow in general!

Any time. I only wished this could have been broadcast in the UK along with the other dozen+ American Shows

I sorta had trouble drawing Crow correctly, but I used s'more of your MST3K fan arts as further reference. Seems to be a three way tie between him, Servo and Gypsy as my fave robot character

I think only Season 8 and half of Season 9 were broadcast overseas. Which is a shame, 'cause I think Seasons 4 through 7 were the show's glory years.
