Jirka VÀÀtÀinen has not only imagined, but that reality has done. This graphic design student from the Faculty of fine arts of the University of Bournemouth, in the United Kingdom, has chosen some of the most popular Disney Princesses and has given them life, portraying them as she would see them in reality. I love all of your "Real Life" Disney characters but I think Princess Aurora should look more like Audrey Hepburn since the Disney artists based Aurora on her: The original character design of Aurora was done by Tom Oreb, who modeled the princess after the elegant, slender features of actress Audrey Hepburn. Aurora's lead animator, Marc Davis worked with Oreb to sharpen her features and clothes so that they would blend with the backgrounds' angular shapes.

I love these manips more than I can say and I showed them to my four-year-old daughter for fun, because she adores the Disney princesses. She likes this one best because Aurora is "her" princess (Aurora is one of her middle names). She keeps asking me to "make a picture of this" (i.e. print it out) and put it on her bedroom wall!

Aurora has always been one of my favorite Disney girls, followed closely by Ariel and Belle. Jirka, your paintings are spectacular. If you ever do any of these sexy characters in less modest attire I'd be first in line to shake your hand and buy you a beer.

Again, not quite as pretty as I imagined her, and her curls look a bit messy and de-curled. But you do amazing work and I applaud you simply because you're awesome.
