Description
The sun rays on her face brought Laurylhee out of sleep. She stretched and pulled one leg out of bed, when a furtive movement caught her attention. She spotted the little dragon curled up on the chair looking at her.
"Skor? What are you doing in my room? "she asked, surprised.
"I was watching over you, pretty Laurylhee," the dragon whispered. "And I was resting. It's much more comfortable here than at the Magic Box. And the show is also much more pleasant. You'll understand when you get there. »
Laurylhee remembered her first encounter with the dragonling in Hardby when she woke up to find it curled up on her belly with a simple sheet to separate them. She became irritated.
"You were watching over me? Did it happen you had to come under my covers to do so ? I would think this too close a watch !"
"How can you think that about me, pretty Laurylhee? No. Nothing like that. I haven't left this chair all night. »
"Why didn't you look after Elaida instead? Didn't you like the colour of her hair? »
"She's a witch. She doesn't understand my familiar nature as well as you, pretty Laurylhee, and the great Elf with the terrifying blades wouldn't have appreciated my presence. »
"Faerynn? But they don't even share the same room. »
"Really? I didn't check. But they both carry each other's scent. Anyway I preferred to look at you. Look after yourself, pretty Laurylhee. "
She didn't have time to reply. Skor flew to the half-open window and said:
"I must go now. I'll see you later. At the Magic Box. »
