My goal has always been to 'draw from my head'. To do something without a reference nearby, when needed. I'm good at drawing FROM reference, but serenely shit without it. So I've been working on gesture, and trying to understand the fundamentals of shape in anatomy.ΒSwing by and check out my anatomy course.Β

I still struggle with this myself and still find myself going back to reference then tweaking it from there.It just seems so much easier..lol

I know the feeling - I'd like to be able to draw better without references someday too. In the meantime, I'm still using them, but seeing this inspires me to work on the fundamentals as well! Thank you for posting!
