I liked it also. Very touching.
Thanks! The sunset makes this drawing.

Love those sunset colours.
BTW, how often does a marker run out and need to be replaced?

Uhm, hard to say how long markers last. If I'm using it for little details, quite awhile. But the big areas will suck a lot of ink. I use Copics which are refillable. Whenever I'm doing a large section I'll have the refill cartridge loaded up and ready to be used. Being able to reload on the fly is real helpful.

I like Copics. Besides being refillable, the tips are replaceable. A refill cartridge costs about the same as a marker. Which means that for the price of two markers, you get the equivalent of 10 to 15 markers.
P.S. Hope it was chocolate fudge cake...

Thanks! I really like the sunset and the subtle shading on these two.
I did color this drawing backwards to how I normally do it. I knew the sunset would be strong, but wasn't quite sure about the shading. So I did the background first and matched them to that.
BTW There are only four colors in the sky, two in the mountains, and two in the foreground. A grand total of eight colors in the entire background.
