Yup, went and did another one of these, this time for my dad for Father's Day. This is my dad's cat, Puss-Face the Precious (yeah, my dad has always had a talent for naming animals) who passed away some months ago after being struck by a car. I don't think he had her very long as I never got a chance to meet her, but he asked me to draw her and I figured this would make a good gift.

I learned my lesson from the last plaque I did , and took photos before putting on the glaze coat. Even so, the pictures still came out absolutely terrible. I eventually gave up and stuck the painting in my scanner, which produced the best result! This looks as close to the original as I could hope to get it.

This wooden plaque was painted on with acrylic paint and glazed with acrylic glaze. It took significantly less time to paint than my last one, around 6 or 7 hours.
I wouldn't mind taking commissions for these or something, they're pretty fun. Note me for details if you're interested.
