If your first thought was that this was my friends doing a Cosplay, then my job is done!Sadly, no, this is not a cosplay, like so many have thought of my Lady Sylvanas Windrunner deviation... This is just simple model exporting, conversion, re-rigging, re-texturing, lighting, animating, render, then photoshop touch-ups to make people THINK it's a cosplay.
Well... Maybe not so simple...

WoW Model viewer is your friend. After that, any 3D software will work. I perfer Lightwave 3D, which is what I used to make this.

Hm, I like the Sylvanas visits the Brooklyn Bridge image somewhat better. Arthas is quite obviously less realistic than Sylvanas, and drags her beleivavbility down with their direct physical insteraction. It's the shading/gleaming parts of his armor that does most of it I think. He's obviously not following the same laws of light and shadow that the rest of the picture is. Another thing that breaks the illusion is their heads/faces- very not-real looking. If you enlarge the image and then scroll down until around the leather strap across Arthas' chest, you can almost fool yourself into thinking that you're looking at two people in costumes.
And you also of course realize that Sylvanas hugging Arthas instead of trying to shoot arrows into his eyeballs while screaming "BASTARD!! HATE HATE HATE KILL KILL KILL!!!!" is a gross voilation of character. But then, I've also had the misfortune of seeing Arthas/Sylvanas porn images, so....
