An excellent work! Oil is a little unusual for you, isn't it? It look wonderful - very good job on skin tones and the eyes are fantastic - very dark and big. Great details in the face, too.

Thank you so much, Chris. This portrait I painted in 1991. There are six more oilpaintings in my gallery. Also from years and years ago. I stopped painting with oils because of the smell.
The terpentine gave me headaches and my eyes were burning.
This portrait is made with very thin oilpaint. I remember I used a finger for the blending in the face ....

I really dislike the smell of oils, too. I guess it's not the paint itself, but the turpentine. Hey, I use my fingers, too!

It's the turpentine indeed. Fingers are very useful with painting ...

i like that you did his lips looking like moist...or something like that...like he forgot to swallow his saliva...that is very typical for small children.

Because of the smell from terpentine. It gave me headaches ...
