Description
A quickly drawn Princess Parrot (also known as the Princess of Wales Parakeet) for my beautiful niece Madison's birthday
Colored pencil in 2 hours... I had to hurry since I have to leave for work in ten minutes!

What technique did you use to make the feathers look so shiny? Also, what brand of colored pencils did you use?

This is BEAUTIFUL! I love Princess parrots! They're a funny, chittery, skittish parrot that are friendly, but not cuddly like other parrots, or want to be with you for extended periods of time. A lot of people overlook them over here, but seeing this one in all its full colours, how could you!

That's true, they are beautiful. But I think I shall go for a Yellow-collared Lovebird. But I can't decide if I will take the yellow or the blue one. I like them both.

Go with blue! Go with blue! I have always referred to them as black-masked lovebirds, but they're my favorite lovebird when you get the blue mutation, so beautiful and cute.

Now I have to wait until I live on my own with my boyfriend.
But I already have a cage for them.
Now at my elder home (or how do you say it in English)we have zebra finches.
They are also cute and friendly but my interest goes out to parrots and lovebirds.

Uhm, I think they have to share my love with parrots. I like them both, but a parrot gets so big and needs a lot of space.
I'm afraid I don't have any room for them, also because I want two birds together so they don't get lonely when I have to go to work in the future.

That's true. If they could life outside the house in a big cage then it wouldn't be a problem,
but at an apartment that just doesn't work.
