I mean, seriously, people call that outfit empowering and yet a full-body jumpsuit isn't? At least the jumpsuit has practicility. (Hell, most people even make it that the ears could be radio recivers)

As a comic book fan, I do like that the newer female heroine costumes actually try to make the costumes at least more practicle but still interesting. Case and point;

It's like they made their own original movie that happened to be superhero themed and it was just coincidence that there was a character called Catwoman so they had to deal with WB to make their movie a thing...

Um... No. While the third actress to play her was African American, the first two were Caucasian, as was Catwoman in the comics prior to the television show.
