when I first drew Bilbo I was like "no, I'll never make him cute and super small! I want realistic Bilbo! he's a man! a hobbit man!"
and now look what I ended up with xDDD
he's so cute and chubby I can't stop drawing him like that!!!

it took me a while to figure out how to bring their hands to paper! when I saw the movie I was like 'yoooo awesome! huge hands! I wanna draw them!' but my first few dwarf drawings had pretty normal human-like hands and I got really disappointed cause their hands (and beards of course!) were the one thing I got really excited about!
they're so much fun to draw!

Yeah in the extras they walk around in full costume without the hand/arm prosthetics and it's so funny cause their real hands look tiiiiny compared to their bodies
I wish I had more time to draw :< The one thing I really really want to be able to do is draw characters in a style not unlike yours with different body types and anatomy that is not realistic per se but does look plausible, like huge upper arms and chests for muscular people. It's hard to do if your understanding of the human body isn't 100% (and mine isn't ). So I get very excited seeing your work and I want to go home and practice drawing characters but I'm stuck at work all day ;__; There, I said something more than "omg I love your work"
