Did something for C.McCarthy's Anxious Dreamer @hitRECORD. Wanted to do one more thing before I head off to Egypt for ten days.
The first thing I thought of when I read that tiny story was a hand trying to grab hold of the dreams. Then when I was drawing, I decided I wanted to show the sleeper, as well as her looking out at all her dreams. So I drew two representations of the dreamers.
All the 'dreams' that you see in there are some of the dreams I recall having when I was younger. I counted sheeps and dreamed of sheeps, and always the flying pigs, of castles and magic, and once, a world where love grows on trees and people visited it for.
Wonderful little story, I think.

Hi!
I'm really glad to have seen this piece. I love watercolors, and the way you have employed them to show the theme of dreams is beautiful! The simplicity of the lines and the watercolor works well. I love the theme. The composition is just perfect: not too cluttered.
What I would love to see is a little more color which would work well together in the top part. In the bottom, the blues, pinks and greens are well balanced and give a light effect. In the top, there is too much brown. The balloon is a bit dull for my taste, as is the girls hair.
Also, some slight errors in proportion catch my eye, mainly in the form of the girl in the centre. I feel her arms are a bit far from her main body. Also, I find it hard to make the same form the hand makes in your picture. Its a lovely stylisation, but the position looks awkward.
Overall, a very pretty piece.
