Love the Zoo Crew pic. Quick Trivia: did you know the average size of the characters of the Zoo Crew was only 3 feet tall.

I remember the Zoo Crew before Robot Chicken made that sketch in the DC comics special. It's where Superman and Batman attended Captain Carrot's funeral and took Green Lantern with them, unfortunately Green Lantern never met the Zoo Crew but found out that he came from a planet full of anthropomorphic animals and burst into a huge laughing fit when he saw that Rubberduck, Fastback, PigIron, and Yankee Poodle were the Pallbearers.
Because he couldn't hold his laughter in he had to leave the funeral. Little Cheese pointed out to them that Green Lantern was rude but then Batman started snickering at Little Cheese's name.

They kinda... did... Captain Carrot looks like that Donkey Mask Michael Jackason wore in that movie... and he is a gun hotshot now...

Well, Superman showed up in issue number one and they fought Starro. Then in their book, Changeling/Beast Boy from the Titans showed up and they fought Gorilla Grodd.
Then they showed up in the end of Final Crisis. I hope they come back!

Come back AND as they were before 1986. That means erase the DEATH of Little Cheese. Or Starro DESTROYING their world.
I walked away from DC due to all the reboots.

I found this retconning and rebooting business (Crisis on Infinite Earths was just the start.)ultimately intolerable and alienating. One storyline after another erased ! This never happened, this guy never existed, ....Villains made into heroes, characters made gay (for a cheap thrill !)...
DC had already alienated me, and Marvel with all its character kill-offs... That left Archie (Sonic), but I had cancelled my sub back at #134-5.
Also a burglary cleared out not just my comic collection, BUT my coin collection and a VCR monitor ! Read my journals for details. Death to all burglars.

That's horrible about the burglary. I hate that that happened to you. I understand your issue with the rectonning and rebooting. I have dealt with plenty of that as a long time comic fan. I have come to slowly accept it as a literal evolution. That's what it is. We lived through the grotesque nineties MAXIMUM revamps, so we can sit back and laugh at and/or enjoy what has come after. The age we fixate on will never come back around. I want everything to stay at the equator dividing old reality VS post Crisis reality. I think there are an infinite amount of stories to be told with those characters.
I do have to say, I reject the idea of a character revealing he or she is gay being labeled a thrill or a gimmick. I think our society has evolved on a subconscious and conscious level where we have become more kind and inclusive and the existence of a gay character or revelation of the same, is a culture shock to those not ready to accept the myriad of differences amongst beings in our universe.
