"The sun was in my eyes! What do you want me to do, block out the sun? I could do that, but I don't have time right now!"*cough* Okay, *slyeagle 's 2-year old has been watching How to Train Your Dragon obsessively. Small wonder some lines are stuck in my head.
In the spirit of all the snow Vermont now has!
Just a newly designed (thanks to *slyeagle ) Orisian Snow dragon hunting a caribou. And missing. This might get some minor tweaks in the future, as there's still some things I'm not satisfied with. On the other hand, school starts now and my free time goes flying out the window. So this is what you get that proves I'm still alive.
The snow poofs are different intentionally. The caribou is kicking snow up from it's jump, while the Snow just has the poof from initial impact.
I used a bit of flying snow from *altered-humanity 's stock . I also had fun (and likely looked silly) kicking snow around on my way to and from work.
I'm not going to whine about all the things that are wrong, since this started life as a quick doodle over vacation. So no whining. In fact, I'm going to go to bed.

This is really well done. Your dragon had a long enough wing connection to feasibly fly! The fur effects on the Caribou are also very nicely done.

Oho, I get so picky about wing connections on dragons. I can't stand it when they end before the pelvis. ...Okay, I can stand it. I just usually complain about it a lot.

Wonderfully done, your shading and lighting in this piece really give it a great feel!
The one thing I could suggest (if I may, I realize you did this back in Jan) is if you could see the breath of the caribou or even a bit of the dragon, since it looks so cold.
I do love the white dragon with the snow and light bg, while the caribou gives that bit of contrasting color. Overall very lovely!

I've actually been thinking about putting in breath like that, because yeah, it is supposed to be cold and I don't think anyone would buy that neither of them were breathing.
It's just time and effort - lol - and updating the deviation and the prints. I'm such a lazy dragon sometimes. However, I do have a convention coming up, so I suppose I ought to do that soon. Otherwise I'll never forgive myself.
