Iam working on a series of paintings that deal with similar topics (personal death, mortality, sexuality the stong dualism of what gives life and what takes life), but they will look a bit different of course, I actually work in thin oil layers---
greys(coldgrey1+2,paynesgrey)//reds(ranging from layering orange, brilliant scarlet to maddenlake dark, all mixed with corput mortuum, englishred and layering oxid yellow to make them look bloodier)//blues(maganese curelean blue, primary blue)//layering violet for shades and shadows mostly from mussini
and titan-white egg-tempera underbuildings.

passage rite points to the step from sexual orientation in the youth to a more grown up look on the topic...so the step from boy to man (and loosing the virginity is not the step from boy to man)
