Description This is a fantasy portrait of a Chinese princess. I loved drawing her serene face against the wild motion of her wind-blown hair and the scattering cherry blossoms. The painting took a long time to complete. The most demanding part is the ornate headpiece. The intricacy of the gold jewelry almost made me cross-eyed. It was a certainly labor of love.

I am glad I finished it in time before my Christmas trip to Canada to see my family.

Exquisite. She is beautiful, and you have captured the contrast between her stillness and the wildness surrounding her so well. I imagine the headpiece was difficult - it is so ornate and detailed and I love the detail on her clothes
