Try Jan and Tamera. Tamera's from an alternate timeline and Jan helps her get her life going again. Over the years, they become sisters. Suggest you read "Guardian's Child":

Thank you. Check out page 9 of "An Empire to Build" and you'll see it paired with a picture of their mom on George's desk. It's kind of distant- didn't come out as obvious as I wanted it to.

I can see that. Still, a beautiful set of photos. His two girls, now, and his main girl, as she looks in his memories of her.

Once Jan explained the situation to her father, I didn't see George as the kind of guy that would reject Tam. In fact, in some ways, he might have found it easier to re-bond with Tam than Jan. Jan had her life and career built by the time they found George. Tam was still in the process. Remember, for Jan it was 22 years. For Tam, it was only about 6?
I wonder if Tam ever took her dad on any time trips?

That's true. That's a good question, as to whether Tam did. I think perhaps she might have. If Dad had asked anything about her gift.

He'd be one of the few people she knew she could trust with her secret.

That's true, too.
