Neptune, sort of. I had no idea where this was going, but thanks to some steering from my Ustream audience--who were insistent on tentacles, mermen, and things on fire--here's the result.Holy crap,

Regardless of how the direction came about, it is your talent there in this picture, and what you have done here in your imagining of this aquatic male is nothing short of truly inspired and beautiful. Images like this are why I scour Deviantart looking for artists, this is truly amazing and impressive, period.

Beautiful and captivating. I feel the scabbard and silver should be tarnished, like they've been in the sea for a long time. But that's just my humble opinion, otherwise this is gorgeous!!!

the Trident is an amazing piece of artwork.
The whole thing is almost exactly how i always imaged Neptune/Poseidon, except that he needs a beard of seaweed

jokes like that aren't funny. You never know if the person you are talking to has been stalked, attacked, raped, or abused and threatened before. In the USA, making death threats online, can be considered a criminal offense.

there is a sympathetic anthropomorphication of space/shapes/texture on my subjective part in the orange region by the trident of another illusory face. kind of like illuminati symbolism... the feel of this is reminiscent of an "atlantean" kind of dark energy.

A very stunning and captivating piece. I must say this captures the imagination, and brings to the minds eye an image that those of us who have read these stories as children, real life, and childlike giddyness. Really great job on the colors, composition and mood. Impressive work indeed!

Fantastic work. The detail is captivating! I especially love how his trident glows.
I'd have to say this is exactly what some of the characters will look like in a story of mine. I swear you peaked in my brain and painted what I was thinking. I would like to ask you to read my narrative poem if you wouldn't mind. The story itself is not completed but this is the overall story at a glance.
