Research in the Ocean Mini Prompt

Did you know the fastest shark is the Shortfin Mako Shark? It reaches moving speeds of 31 mph (50 kph) with bursts up to 46 mph!

However, this beautiful species of shark is sadly endangered, along with the Longfin Mako Shark, who is also in this illustration. The biggest threat to these lovelies is commercial and sport fishing.

Captivity is not an option here, as it seems these sharks are unable to adapt to a closed aquarium tank, with the longest record of one being in captivity being ony 5 days before perishing.

I also think that the Mako sharks have a very interesting row of teeth~ each tooth is very long, and the ones on the lower jaw actually bend inwards~ a deadly combination indeed!

In this drawing, Tidal is swimming with both the Shortfin Mako Shark (top) and the Longfin Mako Shark (bottom). Tidal loves being speedy~ so what's better than practicing such speed-swimming with the fastest shark out there?! Gotta train with the best!
