Description
I was fascinated by this solitary Araucaria tree, growing on such a steep peak.
That's not very common and it shows the indomitable spirit of Nature and its children.
The Araucarias can live up to 500 years and that one is probably over a hundred years old.
So, I thought I'd pictured it in the style of early 20th century photographs.
The fog added a ghostly, surreal atmosphere, which was suiting.
Early morning in Urubici, southern Brazil. Altitude approx. 1200m.

I really like this to be honest. It is simple, but yet complicated. I think that is because you keep it colorless. It is also very beautiful and makes me feel calm and relaxed. It is almost before I get the feeling it is a painting, but I know it is a photo. I read that in the description. I donΒ΄t know why but I imagine this is a mountain from a movie or a fairytale. Not a recent one, or one that will be experinced in the present or future. I see it as a scene from an old legend maybe. Only a little snitch of it. That is what i think, and that might be crazy, but I hope you can live with it
