A shooting starIs all we are
Here for an instant
And then lost in the night
But as we are here
Shine bright, shine clear
Illuminate the lives
Of all who stray near
And through heavens fly
Let the tear in your eye
Be wiped clean
By an angelβs might
Asailing the skies
With our hopes and tries
And touching each star
To say our goodbyes
Falling to earth
Our sorrow, our mirth
Life coming too fast
Finish first, finish last
No matter the score
Without a doubt
All shooting stars
Eventually
Burn out.

Beautiful. I really like how it starts off as kinda happy and then ends on a sad yet emotionally uplifting not. This poem is really encouraging and doesn't make me truly and honestly sad at all. I take it as a statement of telling people that they should live every moment as if it were the last they had and to make the most of their life. Thank you for posting this.
