so i originally wanted to draw this for pride month but i had so much damn work to do so.... july is second pride month now i have declared itanyway, this is the way i see these guys. :> i feel like john is v much gay so his relationship with eliza specifically is more queer-platonic, but they both love their hambone & they all love each other in different ways and it's perfect how it is

1. I think it's cute, 2. I'm trans and I enjoy seeing representations of people like me in the media I enjoy, 3. When I was originally thinking about it within the play universe I thought it added a lot of depth to their character arcs ("my name is ALEXANDER hamilton", a whole new meaning to Angelica being the oldest sister now but supporting Eliza 100% no matter what) and it carried over into my AUs. it has no relation to the IRL historical figures whom I know were 100% cis

THANK YOU I WAS GONNA COMPLAIN BUT YOU RESPECT THE ACTUAL PEOPLE. God, at least one person has common sense. I'm sick of people being whoever was actually trans or whatever blah blah blah. Hamilton fans watched a play, I take time reading about these guys. I'm going to college for US Colonial History!! Btw I have no problems with trans people, I like a trans guy but in History it wasn't talked about like it is today.

yeah! queer-platonic relationships are like... when someone is special to you more so than just friends, but without any sort of romantic attraction, which i think works well for how john and eliza would see each other after getting to know one another better thru alex!
but they both feel romantically for alex and alex feels romantic love for both of them <3 they all love each other just in different kinds of ways! and their relationship works well together, which is the most important thing!
i'm so happy you like it! i'm in a poly relationship with my girlfriend so portraying healthy & happy poly ships is really important to me!
