Description
The big stick of the TOS-era Starfleet, the Federation class Dreadnought. Bigger, faster, and more powerfully armed than Kirk's Constitution class USS Enterprise! These ships were never seen on screen, they originate with the Franz Joseph "Starfleet Technical Manual". But they do get a brief mention in Star Trek : The Motion Picture, when the establishing shot of the Epsilon IX station includes some background comm chatter in which we hear "This is Dreadnought Entente Calling. NCC-2120. Calling Comm Station, Epsilon IX. Come in."

I've gone with the name ship of the class here, though.

One thing is that whilst this is based on FJ's design, it's not a perfect reproduction. I have never been a fan of the way the original series Enterprise had 'invisible weapons', and I've always preferred to have phasers and photon torpedoes that are clearly and obviously present on the hull, which these are. I also sprinkled more of them on there.
