ok, so yeah today was Self Harm awareness day and this is what i did for it ^Yeah the awareness ribbon is orange and yeah thats why its ornage and i decided i didnt want it to be a normal ribbon so added a little wolf and i quite like it actually, well hope you guys like it to and stay strong all those people who are strugglign wiht self harm! <3

I will open this critique with a piece from a poem about self harm by a man named Amar Qamar (no copyright infringement inntened):
It calls me closer, its calls me near
"Just once and it'll be over"
Death whispers in my ear
Irresistible is its sweet entice
Staring down, which one to slice,
I observe my previous tries
My unseen hurt and earlier cries
No peace in my mind, no peace in my head
The quiet intelligent me, long since fled
Anger and rage consumes me
My minds demons bursting to be free
The walls of my cage finally cave
"Just be still, just be brave"
I slash down with an improvised knife
"Forget this world, forget my life"
Blood oozes and drips down the drain
A slight tingle but no real pain

This picture not only is a very well drawn one but also has an impact to people as it is for self harm awareness day. MurphyCory is (I belive) 1 of the best artists on deviantart and this drawing keeps up those high standards.

Love this it's really good and b4 u posted this I didn't really know there was a day but now I do and more people need to be aware of it and this certianly does just that and love the different awsome ribbon its so smart

yeah I think though that could be because it's almost taboo to speak of which it shouldn't be we need to be more aware of SH to help those that need it and not judge those people that do as they are doing it for some reason or another and in all they need the help but even with help it doesn't mean a person will stop doing it after all its their life and we should all get to choose to an extent anyway how we choose to live our lives so not judge those that are different as I've been their as you probably know its no fun to be judge over something triaval or well personal if that makes sense. Get our schools and colleges and even places of work more awear of SH

yes and i think self harm really isnt taken seriously anymore

No it's become something that in some groups of people is 'cool' to do and people do it just to fit in with their friends which isn't right and other people just laugh and make jokes about it when it really isn't a funny matter :/

i completely agree, people, especially the guy joke bout self harm and its just like ugh stop already, and yes i dont see why someone would think slef hamr is 'cool' its not

yes, that's one of the worst parts
and quite a lot of people clearly aren't attention seeking because they try and cover the cuts and scars
but they still get labeled that, even by people they don't know

yeah, they dotn think that that person has been abused, has family roblems, even that thye may have a disorder causing them to self harm

it's stupid, there are so many things that could have happened to them to cause them to do something like that people just don't think :/
