Although perhaps his honesty can be a tad much, he often tells it as is with little to no care if his words sound harsh or not. Once he’s got his mindset on something, very little could deter him away.

True to a fisherman nature, he lacks mannerism or any sense of decency. He’s bold, brash and honestly belongs in the trash. Sergei is too thick-headed to read the room making it easier for him to say crude, harsh, or unintelligent things without realizing it.

“Ahaa! Curious aren’t we? Aye well suppose it’s only fair- My name is Sergei Motte, I’m from Ekialdean up near the colder lands-my family has lived on those for several generations that we ought to have a town named after us AHAAHA! I’m the fourth pup in me family, a lot of responsibilities fell right on my shoulder, aye pops worked me to the bone- hauling in fish day and night. Battling frigid cold waters with Mother Nature barreling her fury down on you. Aye it was hard but made me the man I am today! It's what I did for years, day and night, the same thing for a long time see- it starts getting to ya. I’m looking for a new change here, I thought I could start over in these lands here.”

Reason for Boarding
“Ay well what can I say?. Plenty of fishing to do here that I’m sure you lots can use some help on. I’m an old dog, and think it’s time for me to finally settle and just my luck that the sea has lead me to this place to do so. Can’t argue with the sea here AHAHA!”

Full history

The Motte family had lived in the harsh snow lands of the northern parts of Ekialdean for several generations, hardy sea folks that were strict to traditions and that's just how they like it. The head of this pack was a stern hardy man and his equally stubborn wife with their 6 kids; 4 daughters and 2 sons. Sergei was the fourth child and first son to be born, some speculated that when a Motte is born they are dunked in the cold waters to be blessed by the seas. Each child was to pull their weight in and contribute to the family, that was their way of life.

As soon as Sergei could start walking he was tossed into his family’s fishing business, sent out in frigid waters with his father and elder sisters. For years to come, this is how he would live a life that he grew to love. It wouldn’t be until Sergei reached his mid-twenties that things would start to slow to a halt. Things that he enjoyed would begin to become monotonous and dull, he would begin to see his life was just a preset course for him. Sergei was expected to help the family and eventually get married so that he could continue on the legacy as part of the fishing business.

But Sergei wanted to get more out of his life. So, he decided he would venture out beyond his home and over the course of 15 years, he would eventually save up enough money to buy a boat and set on his own. Over time Sergei would explore and fish in every inch of the sea he could, and when he thought he had seen it all there was tale of a mysterious Island. Waters yet to be explored! So he left his beloved ship behind and decided to board the boat to Umeojin Island.
