Pokedex Entry:"Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokemon

"A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokemon. It can go for days without a single morsel; in the bulb on its back, it stores energy.

"It can be seen napping in bright sunlight. By soaking up the sun's rays, the seed on its back grows progressively larger. For some time after its birth, it grows by gaining nutrients from this seed."

I mentioned quite some time ago in a journal that I wanted to draw all six hundred forty nine Pokemon. Well, here the journey begins with one of my very favorite Pokemon, Bulbasaur! I've always thought Bulbasaur is such a cutie (though I'll admit that Ivysaur is my favorite of the 'saur line), and he's a solid starter. Plus he's got a special spot in my heart being the first starter I ever had. <3
